FAE – Fresh Air Exchange
FC –Fruiting Chamber
Dunk – Process of dunking a cake into water from 12 – 24 hours in order hydrate and control temperature of a cake.
Cake – Mixture of vermiculite and brown rice (coffee, rye, bird seeds etc. may also be used) A ‘cake’ is used as the ‘earth’ for mushroom growth.
Flush – A batch of cultivated mushrooms.
PC - Pressure Cooker

Actually FAE is Fresh Air Exchange
A flush isnt just from a cake.
Dunking doesnt produce a new flush. It helps with temp drops and cake hydration.

We've had pages and pages of these posted in the past, but they're a bad idea. The people who need help the most don't know what they are, and people that have been around long enough to know all the acronyms don't need help anymore.

Please just type out the whole sentence if giving advice to a new grower. It makes things much easier.

Ok, good point RR. Yeah, I'm new. Trying to learn, as well as noticed other people could benifit. Didn't see anything directly related but I understand why. Might just create more confusion.

Yea, I was speaking to everyone else I guess. It's just easier on the new people not to have to learn the acronyms at the same time as learning a finiky hobby.

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
