I can hear the beat. Djcube is flat-out wrong about the lack of structure / rhythm in "metal". You, apparently, can't figure out how to reply to the person you're trying to "f".

As for the rest of you twats arguing that not liking metal means you don't understand something, fuck yourselves. Like Jewunit said, music is highly subjective, and no, metal is not "socially unacceptable" for its "life values." Give me a break. This thread was born with the gay.

anybody who says that metal isn't music is excessively ignorant.
I really like death metal and grindcore, and I care about the lyrics not too much. but there certainly are bands with good lyrics. japanische kampfhörspiele, for the german speaking fellas.

and if you claim that metal is lacking structure and rythm should check out breakcore (because you won't understand the music neither..), such as venetian snares, which is in my opinion one of the most euphoric and mindbending style of music ever.

edit: mathcore.. I guess you are talking about the vocals which are so hard to understand. or do you mean the music as a whole?

I love music, and I was into mostly metal for a while there. It generally just didn't touch on intelligent enough topics to keep me interested. Wow your simple idea of death and your simple all too common issues with God, WOW! :lol:

I guess if listening to people scream as hard as they can, and musicians playing as fast as they can is your thing, then more power to ya, but I don't consider faster better.

People who think metal is socially unacceptable only listen to the words. I'm a bass player and I'm into metal, but I also listen to some jazz, Stuart Hamm, Victor Wooten...because they are great musicians.

Do you get paid to be a fucktard or do you just enjoy it that much? We're not talking about opinions here. Almost all forms of music have time signatures and tempo. It's not a matter of opinion about whether it's there or not. Music is subjective as far as taste goes, not whether there is or isn't something there. That'd be like listening to a (insert random Hard Rock song) and say they aren't using a guitar in the song when they clearly are.
