Dehydration Question? Shroom newbie PLESE HELP

OK dokie, so i've had shrooms before but the supply in my area was very hard to come by, so i decided just to grow my own. I bought everything necessary... yada yada yada.. my shrooms flushed beautifully!, (TReasure coast) When i picked the mushrooms, they turned greenish-blue where i picked them, i researched that, luckilly it said that that was called bruising and it was normal.  Instead of buying a dehydrator tho, since i  live in  texas and its  really hot and dry, i just put them out to dry on a pan, in the open air, they shrivelled really well, but im wondering if that was a safe choice now that i see everyone and their mom uses a dehydrator, is this a total noob mistake? should i look for something? should i throw them all away :confused: ?

They should be fine unless they were baking in direct sun for a few hours. I hear heat and shrooms don't mix, but get someone else's opinion.

I don't know how hot it got in that pan, and hight temperatures can destroy psilocybin/psilocin, I think you should be fine, however, there is only one real way to find out. :shrug:

Omg unless it was 200f or above there isnt any loss in potency at all.HEAT DOES NOT CAUSE POTENCY LOSS.

lol, well metal in the sun gets pretty hot. When I was a kid, my sister had me watch her hamsters, I was playing with them in a pot, and by accident I left them out in the sun and forgot all about them. When I came back they were dead and stuck to the pot. My sister was pretty pist. I lived in Florida at the time. So I was just thinking that it could burn the shrooms pretty bad, but I guess not.

lol i have baked my booms with cakes at 300f and still tripped.ime/imo it's better to use a dehydrator since oxidation leads to potency loss so the faster you can get em all cracker dry the better.
