Hello Jester,
Casing is when you encase crumbled mycelium with things like soil, moss, vermiculite etc...Firt find some small trays, around the size of a shoe box...or smaller, doesn't really matter. Then lay down an inch or so of moist vermiculite in the bottomm of your container. Next, crumble your cakes over the moist vermiculite, so that you have a layer of crumbled cake about an inch thick. This usually takes 3 cakes, depends on your container size. Then cover the crumbled cakes with 1/2 inch or so of moist vermiculite again. This is casing. There are many other methods out there. This method is just an easy effective method, perfect for the first time caser.

After you crumble the cakes you will need to keep the newly case material in the dark to allow the mycilium to stregthen and revive. Then after about 5-7 days stick it back in your terarium with a bit of light and the same conditions as the mmgg suggests. As for sterilizing, you need to take extra care with this part because you have more shit to sterilize and it usually is not air tight when you case it. You can just stick the verm in a pan and through in in the oven for an hour. If you need more info check out the grow/find, and links. Good luck!

P.s. yur terari cant be that poor if you have a humidifier!

Look to your left. There is a wealth of information under the "Grow/Find" section. Yes, it even has casing.
