Jiffy mix is bs, all it is, is a seed starter which has verm/peat in it already. Its just for the lazy ppl that dont want to purchase two things. Just get yourself a bag of peat moss and verm then mix 50/50 and add a lil lime/oyster shell if you can find it. Also most popping soils work grweat also, just add a lil verm to them to make them lighter.

Muchas gracias senoir. I will tell my friend to pop over to the nearest garden center to purchase some verm and peat moss and perhaps some lime/oyster and mix it himself. Thank you for your time.

Mycelium is right..it is for lazy people because its already the perfect casing layer. The pH is adjusted for you so you dont have to guess how much lime to put in.
