There's more to it than closing your eyes. Everybody closes their eyes and not everybody has seen everything. Closing your eyes does cut off the sense of sight though, which can remove distractions.

the trick is to close your eyes while keeping the sense of sight going.

for instance one could work on strengthening their ability to retain after images.

I'm serious and as for a literal sense... well if I said it to you then I think the literal meaning would be on the same lines rather than someone who doesn't get where I'm coming from... I think you understand where I'm coming from and it sounds like you do.

ok well, I hear/feel you. And I used to wish I hadn't opened, or rather been blind/distracted with my eyes because of all the shit going on in the world.

But at bonnaroo, I felt this amazing realization that while there's so much turmoil out in the world that there is also so much beauty and that everything will be ok. The vastness of this whole universe and the way that everything works will set things in balance. idk how but I had this comforting feeling.

I would like to experience things like bonnaroo.

Now this is tricky.
1) people are more loving there because they are free to be naked and express themselves BUT
2) they can be that open and *may* be that open in mundane reality, just they do not feel like they have a circus to express their full nature in. WHICH leads to
3) maybe it's all in just that simple look, seeing if they are aware but having to wear masks AND
4) i don't like masks but at the same time am not in a giant hurry to get fully naked. THOUGH part of me really needs that deep deep expression, to be fully seen without anyone turning away.
