Look at the top of this page where it says Mushroom Info. Under there you will find a tremendous amount of information about A. muscaria.

yes they are fine to eat, i would suggest drying them first this i am pretty sure that this converts the muscrine into ibotenic acid (active ingredient), my computer is being way too slow for me to look it up though (hit up erowid.org). the muscrine causes nausea, and it is really painful to deal with. hope this is enough info.:peace:

Ah nice one! thanks guys, but also i was wondering if there are many look a likes to the Amanitas? Eg. i heard from someone you can find look a likes that have bigger white spots on them, and theyre poisoness... but really i wouldnt know what to believe;) Even though im sure IDing them are very easy, just better to be safe then sorry.
I am very curious, because ive heard theyre alot more potent than regular Subs.
Thanks

They are not comparable to subs. Completely different chemicals, completely different experience. Read up some of those links I told you about. Some good research will put you in charge of your knowledge and give you experience, and will set you on the right path.

Was looking for this earlier, can't remember where I found it but it's quite comprehensive.

I ate an Amanita Muscaria the other day, just a single medium-sized one, and it was an interesting experience. I both 'cooked' it in an oven and even simmered it for a little while in water to try and convert the muscarine or ibotenic acid or whatever it is into the active ingredient. I think I succeeded a little bit... but I got quite nauseous for an hour or so and couldn't really enjoy food for a few hours after that, and it made me VERY sleepy, and for a small stretch of time I had some interesting thoughts, music was great, and for about 6-7 hours I felt very peaceful. It was such a low dose it barely counted as a 'trip', but, I'm not dead and show no signs of dying, which is the information you're more interested in...

The only advice I can give is, make sure you cook them at the temperature the guides specify. I don't think I quite got there, and as a result I don't think enough of a conversion took place.
Also, I would highly recommend the use of cannibas, as mentioned in the guides, to reduce nausea, assuming you smoke it. If not, you might find the nausea a bit overwhelming, especially at high doses.
