Thanks so much, Spore-T, and I wish you happy holidays as well. I'm visiting with my folks and family right now, so I haven't been much around. Still, I'm thinking of you all. The agar special is still going, but I won't be able to ship out orders received from 21 to 28 until the 28th as I'm out of town. ;( Don't worry; USPS is holding the mail so no orders will be tampered with.On an unrelated note, I have a very intriguing idea about casing colonization, which as I've said before is the number one important aspect of a high yield. I noticed that locally portabella and other mushrooms kits recommend mixing between 1 part in 10 (for larger mushrooms) and 1 part in 5 (for numerous small mushrooms) of the colonized substrate to your uncolonized casing before you spread it out! Has anyone tried this with cubes?!?! I think that's an AWESOME idea and the mushroom industry has been doing it for a long time! Just think about it! You could cut down casing colonizating in half there by reducing contamination risk during this delicate time and get awesome yeilds without deep scratching like I usually recommend for spectacular yields! Wow, now to give it a whirl!
Take care,
ShroomGod
