If she has a boyfriend she has him in any case, whether he decides to ask her out, sit near her on their future encounters or just make eye contact like they did until now.

Get REALLY into the lecture process. I mean, put all your time and get motivated as hell to do it. Kick it's ass! Do a really stellar job with it. Don't worry about not talking to her or talking to her. Take the reins. Collaborate with her on what she's doing and be REALLY into it. No. "I like you" or "what do you like to do?" Now, if it is mentally impossible to get into the lecture, because I just thought back to my college days, and I don't think I got into anything in a class besides TV production classes (which was my major) and if it's not your major and some bullshit class you HAVE to take. It might be impossible. College rips you off by the way. Anyway, I was stoned through most of them anyway, I forgot that too. Okay, if it's not possible to get yourself super interested in whatever your "lecture" is on. Then, listen to her carefully from the rafters, find out her interests, and see if one matches one of yours. and if it's say... TV or a tv show like "Entourage" or "The Daily Show" or whatever you college kids are watching these days. Get really into it when you talk to her about it and spout out your knowledge. She'll be impressed that you're intelligent and confident and then let it go on from there. Confidence my man. No matter what you're confident about. Your common interest just might end up being the ganj. Be confident in your cannibis wisdom and you will give her a reason for a woman to be drawn to you.

There was a cutie in one of my classes this semester. We smiled at each other alot, and said hi but nothing more. He avoided eye contact a lot and I assumed he just wasn't interested in talking to me. We actually started talking about 2 classes ago, and now semester's over. Maybe I'll ask him to join me for a beer after our exam.... its my last chance!

Learn from my mistake! You can always go with the old standby  'what do you think of this class/the prof/some specific bit of info from the class you found interesting..?' I always find it helps to be one of those people who talks a lot in class, both saying intelligent things and joking with or at the prof, which of course only works if they are easy going and you are actually funny and not just annoying. It gives the person you like the opportunity to respond to you. This might not work in a class of 200. It's great in a class of 40.

Last semester I actually did strike up a friendship with a cutie, we almost dated and then it turns out he's a spazz and can't handle emotions. :shrug: We're still friends.

one of my friends tried this line at the local "ibar". he also used another "technique" where he'd walk up to a girl and ask, "have you ever been raped.....by a MAGICIAN?!" then pretended to pull a coin out of their ear. the end result? he got slapped. hard. thank you for your wasted time.

If you can, go sit next to her. Chat with her but don't feel pressured to have a real huge awesome love-inspiring conversation. Be calm, charming, try to get her to laugh. When you're down with the lecture ask her if she'd like to get a bite to eat or a cup of coffee or something sometime.
