I wonder how many radio stations have this as their slogan. It should be "One of many stations that really rock," assuming that they do, in fact, rock.

Commercial rock radio is usually pretty pitiful. I think it's just a marketing gimmick. One radio station here has the slogan "Bfm - Other stations are shit".

It's kind of customary here to have Rocktober if you're a rock station, and the obligatory 5 hours of Sabbath on Halloween.
Nothing wrong with Sabbath, but I'll listen to them in my own time.

It's not that strict in NZ. Mostly it's just "fuck" that is avoided. Then again, I haven't listened to radio for at least 5 years so I don't know what's going on there.

There is a station here that uses that slogan when I read the title I was like is he talkin about 92.3?

hahahaha! good point. where are you from?

i'm in Baltimore, MD, and one of our lame radio stations out here boasts this slogan.

The radio stations in my area do everything everybody has said. I never knew that's what everybody did, what's the deal why would they do that?

Anybody else have a 9x minute non-stop rock.

we have "mandatory metallica" on one and "metallica meltdown" on another. it's soooo lame. i enjoyed it for a little while, but it seems like they've been doing it every night for years now. it's gotten really really old. i'm so happy i bought an ipod...
