Alice in Chains was the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. Also, early Stone Temple Pilots and Soundgarden come to mind.

I will always love that era of music. It was the soundtrack of my life while I was "coming of age", so to speak.

I was also someone who first got introduced to music through the "Grunge" explosion. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, AIC... Oh man, just something so enthralling about it. It was the first music I could relate to. Before that it was either hairmetal or (for me) really cheesey Disney-esq ballads where people spontantously burst into song.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

Grunge rocks! Back in High School, Nirvana really spoke to my teenage angst and sense of isolation. Then later I got into Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Silverchair, etc.

Nirvana's about the only band I listened to other than L7 from that era.  When I was around 6 I was introduced to Metallica by an older kid who was around the age of 14.  He hung out at my best friend's house with his brother and would always come play guitar for us and really got all of us into metallica.

Obviously it had a massive influence on my taste in music as Metallica is still my favorite band, and I hardly seeing it change anytime soon.  I just wish I could have lived the era of my music like you all got to do with the music of the 90s..  Being born in 1983 by the time I was old enough to really get in the scene of metallica it was all history and they were making the black album and then load..

2) Scorpios are prone to excesses: booze, drugs, sex, bad puns, etc.
They usually exploit the weaknesses of others, who fall victim to
their capacity for total lust & sexual abberation.
3) Scorpios possess great intellectual curiosity & creative talent. They
think they are rebels & are arrogant, proud, conceited, and worth every
penny of it.

yeah, I admit - I was a grunge kid from like 92-95 during high school. I saw most of the big bands play - nirvana included in '93 in Atlanta. I got in trouble because it was on a school night.

i was at a private HS during those grunge years. we were forced to wear shirt and ties...so we would wear flannel shirts w/ ties to skirt around the rules...

looking back on that style, we had to look absolutely retarded.
