Heaven - A Poem

So blue is the ocean,
Infinite is the mind.
So bright are the heavens,
Luminous is the mind.

Expanse of heaven
Meets with deep blue ocean.
Union at horizon
Takes me beyond breath.

Heaven is bullshit.
And hell the religion of fear.
Man needs no God
Freedom is innate.

:smile: I like the message of the poem, but the way it's put together doesn't really speak to my personal aesthetics.

"Freedom is innate."  I think that's the most important line.  It is the fear that we are not free to create, that our strings are being pulled, and that we are being led toward something, that is the cause of paranoia and delusion.

Until you know down to your bones that you are totally free, unbound by the ghosts of Ultimate Morality, of Eternal Damnation, of Death, you ARE having your strings pulled.  There is no reality but that which we create.  Until you're creating your own compassionate metaphors, you're living in someone else's. :heart:

By the way it's not easy to rhyme with purple.:crazy2:
