Business is business. Grandpa bush supported a war for money. This Bush is having a war for money. Operation Iraqi Liberation...OIL. Nothing has changed. It's the same criminal mindset. His friends are making money and that's all that matters.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6177104

One line in this paragraph in particular shows this whacko for whom he really is:

"On the afternoon of September 26, 2002, Bush was at a Houston fundraiser for Republican senatorial candidate John Cornyn. Surrounded by old friends from Texas, he made his most bellicose public comments about Saddam yet. There would be “no discussion, no debate, no negotiation” with the Iraqi dictator. He repeated the standard litany: Saddam had tortured his own citizens, gassed the Kurds, invaded his neighbors: "There’s no doubt his hatred is mainly directed at us. There’s no doubt he can’t stand us.” But it was one particular line in this speech that would grab worldwide attention: “After all, this is a guy that tried to kill my dad at one time.”

I love how the media forgot these lines as fast as they came out of his mouth. What is his proof that Saddass' hatred is pointed at the US? Maybe the Bush family. In my book, the Bush family is NOT the US. He tortured his citizens, gassed the Kurds, and invaded his neighbors because he doesn't like the US? And you accuse me of making bullshit blanket statements while sticking to the words of this RETARD.

If you think Bush today is committing crimes then by all means, judge him. But dont judge him for the actions of his grandpa decades before he was born.

My Uncle is a sex offender, are you going to judge me for that? How about the citizens of Germany...their grandfathers committed the worst crimes imaginable. Are we to hold modern Germans accountable for that? Of course not.

This ridiculous notion of holding people responsible for the sins of their ancestors is what drives most modern ethnic tensions and warfare. Lets end that and judge people by their own individual actions.

Most of those Germans truly involved in the crimes against humanity and their families are not in power in germany. The Bush family is. I'm not saying either that georgie is guilty of his grandfather's crimes, but he definitely is guilty of his own. Big difference.

You mean to put credit in what they SAID at the recent talks? If you are familiar with history, I am sure you already know the last outcome of the USA's agreement with N Korea.

its not just talks, they are (from my understanding) getting extremely close to signing an agreement to allow shut down their nuclear program and allow UN inspectors into the country in exchange for energy assistance from the US.

This why I am against the war: mismanagement.

This "rebellion" would have been obliterated if the USA would have let sound strategic military operations to initiate. One little example, is letting Sadar run around like a fucking madman creating a formidable militia, influencing the election, all the while in our cross hairs. These blunders, coupled with complete bull shit of rules of engagement for our troops, is creating a dire situation.

All though it does pain me to say it (since I was actually there)........why the fuck are we still there?

Here is what I remember, Albright went to N Korea and was wooed by Ill.  We (america) agreed to give them stuff (food i think) if they stopped developing missiles and nukes.  They took the stuff, and continued developing weapons.  No shit!

I see no reason why they would stop now if we give them more stuff.

Terrorism has effected a lot of countries.. most reccently spain, and since they have a high muslim population for being in europe, they are still at high risk.

i dont blame the US for going after terrorist, they just didnt do it in the right fashion, Bush say 9/11 as a way to link Sadaam to terrorism, a link which has been proven false... so to mention the war and terrorism in the same breath is kinda irrelevent.

But now that we are in Iraq, we must finish the job or else Iraq will be worse than when we got there and the US will be hated even more by the muslim world/ middle east/ the entire world.

I think we are moving in the right direction.. we are slowly making plans to start withdrawling troops.. and congress is even pressuring the whitehouse to develop a time table of when the troops will begin their return home... I blame bush for starting the war, but the war he has managed it has been pretty good. IMO.. to cut and run would be cowardly and i dont see how Americans would want that.. its just ignorant people who dont care about the innocent people in Iraq... to leave now would be a diaster.. a radical group WOULD gain control with help and then Iraq would be 10x worse than they were with the taliban and Sadaam.. we must finish the job, finish training the Iraqi army.. and then slowly withdrawl.. thats the only chance for success.

whoops.. i cant use the reply-to feature.. just kinda started ranting.

Do you really believe this nonsense they are spouting about the 'Quds force'? What evidence have they presented to us that these people even exist, let alone that they are working at the behest of the Iranian government? The neocons in this administration have never wanted to avoid a confrontation with Iran If they did then why did Dick Cheney completely reject a package of concessions offered by Iran in 2003? Including offers of help to stabilize Iraq link. Nearly all of the U.S. casualties in Iraq are caused by the secular-Baathist Sunni-led resistance and religious Sunni extremists fighting the occupation, and none of the forces allied with the resistance have ties to Iran. Lets look at the numbers killed, the allegedly Iranian supplied bombs are said to have caused the deaths of 170 American soldiers, but overall 2497 soldiers have been killed in hostile incidents, most of them at hands of the Sunnis. The majority of these 170 American soldiers were killed during operations against Muqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army three years ago, this was the last time the US suffered heavy casualtys fighting the Shiites. The administration has provided zero evidence that the Mahdi army or any other Shiite militia have gotten support of any kind from the Iranian government. Despite this complete lack of material evidence they have restarted the noise machine used to justify the clusterfuck called Iraq. Their rhetoric is inflammatory because they are liars, pure and simple, we cannot trust a damn thing that comes out of their mouths.

You are entitled to your opinion that the war was handled well, although I think it is similar to saying that the two little pigs whose houses were built out of wood and straw handled the wolf blowing their houses down well.

I totally disagree with the idea that cut and run is cowardly. What is cowardly to me is that Americans want to continue to support this war while they sit at home and the soldiers are the ones who are dying. And then of course there are the thousands of Iraqi civilians who are getting killed due to our presence. The cowardice is not being able to admit that we lost in what we set out to do. The cowardice is not being able to admit that the idea of a stable, democratic Iraq was an illusion when this war started about 4 years ago. The cowardice is not being able to admit that if we truly believed that Iraqi citizens should be able to govern themselves democratically, we would have listened to their pleas and withdrawn months ago.

Sending more soldiers to die is not brave, it is stubborn and ignorant.
