Would putting stuff like anti-bacterial soap, and other things like neosporine help decrease the odds of contamination, while at the same time not harming mycelia growth?

Its not that bad of an idea..well yes it is if you ad it to your substrate. However, many use those circular antibacterial band aids as a filter patch on mycobags and jars as well. But adding it to the food isn't a good idea.
