cultivating mycelium instead of shrooms

so the tek is something like you put PDY broth in a 1 quart jar to grow the myc and after 15 days or so you dump out all your jars and stain them for the myc. and the yeild is supposed to be like 5-10 grams dry myc per jar. i read this tek but found it hard to believe. anyone out there just growing myc? cause i put em them in chocolates i dont really care about pretty looking caps.

the thought crossed my mind to cultivate a large batch of myc just to
play with, like scrape it up outta petri dishes and compact into a small
bottle of everclear...the 3$ lil bottles, dont know what else to do with myc
on its own...of course...i live in a cloud where the cultivation of myc is
perfectly legal...check yer laws dude.

this "tek" has time and time again proven to be ineffective, inefficient, and borderline bogus.

mycelium produces very little actives until the point its about to fruit. cultivating mycelium in a broth and filtering it out while still young is going to yield near nothing.

personally? no, i know better than to waste my time with it.

the question comes up a lot though, and there's several threads in "advanced cultivation" about it (even though they probably don't belong there)... somebody reported trying it with like 55 gallon drums and yielded next to nothing in the active department. you don't have to take my word for it, a little searching will turn up all the info you need.

but in my opinion the tek should probably be removed from the site...
