Outdoor cultivation question

Maybe someone with outdoor experience answer this one?
I was just wondering how effective it would be to put mycelium grown using liquid growth method would be for growing outdoors. Instead of using a crumbled up cake like in Moe's Tek, using the mycelium straight from honey water. Would this colonize slower than using a cake?

No, it wouldn't stand a chance. You need colonized substrate to start an outdoor bed.

You want to grow out the spawn inside and then take it outside. Your idea *might* work but the whole idea of cultivation is to lean the success factors towards your end of the rink.
