Hi i just finished orderiing there shroom kit i would like to know if any one has used it and if so how did it turn out. thanks this is my frist grow so all my knowledge in growing comes from the FAQs so your knowledge eould be greatr to learn.

According to the web sie ( http://www.amazing-nature.com/info/3200.htm ) it is completely organic substrate of vermiculite and wheat.
I never heard of it.. who is it made by?
The kit is made by a Dutch Smart Shop called Amazing Nature which sells many psychoactives.

they sell live peyote buttons...is that legal? i think it is over there where their located but is it ileagal order it from america? thats not bad for 22 dollars a button. i never tried peyote so for me it would be worth it...

To the best of my knowledge it is very much like the topic of selling cannabis seeds to amarican illegal but many places do it.

Hmmm...I'm surprised they actually ship it to the U.S seeing as the kit seems to consist of pre-colonized substrate. Isn't mycelium illegal over there?

Mycelium contains psilocybe so, yes, it is illegal in the United States... I'd be careful, some of the "Mushroom Kits" on the internet are bullshit. Especially the ones that come with 'already spawned substrate', etc.

i have heard good things about amazing nature, and the other site this guy has, i just cant think of the other sites name right now. he isnt a crook from what i hear, so his kits should be decent, but i recommend NO kits, anyone has. its almost as easy to just buy some jars , brf, etc, and its a WHOLE lot cheaper

You should all be aware of the way U.S. customs treats packages from the Netherlands (Holland). My wife is from there and EVERY packages she receives is opened and dug through. I don't know how many packages of candy we've thrown out because of this. It really sucks but our domestic gestapo look upon Holland as the evil legal drug empire and anything coming from there is suspect. Good Luck.

I thought the mycelium only contains psylocy(bi)n after it begins pinning? Here is a link to support this.

I'm a newbie though so don't take my word for it. I would still be very careful ordering anything from another country. International mail is much more likely to be searched than mail sent within the U.S. The PF tek is not very difficult. As was stated above, I would just play it safe, save some money, and order some spores from a reliable vendor in this country.

Well, if that is true then the Government doesn't think so. I'm almost positive the Government considers Mycelium to have psilocybin in it. When I first got into this hobby I was going to buy this grow kit that promised I would grow 4-6 lbs in 2-4 weeks because the kit contained Mycelium. So I asked on these boards, and was told by many people that Mycelium is illegal in all states. I read up on it and found nothing that said otherwise.. so who knows

I believe mycelium has psilocybin in it pre-pinning because for one it blues, and for two, you can blend up cakes in juice and trip off 'em

I ordered the Grow Kit from Amazing Nature (smartbotanics.com is their other web site), and have had it in my terrarium for about 1 1/2 weeks. It came about 70% colonized (which I guess is illegal), just marked "Mycelium Sample" on the package. It took about 3 weeks to receive the package from the day I ordered. The first flush wasn't excellent (harvested three days ago), about 5 dried grams, but I neglected to mist or add water to the kit, because I wasn't sure how damp it actually was, and just decided to let it grow. Definitely mist it at least, someone more experienced with casings might recommend adding water some other way, but I don't know. There were about 12-15 shrooms that grew on the sides of the tray, and I was not able to pick those without removing the kit from its tray. The harvested shrooms were small, maybe 2-5 inches long, but, once again, I think that and the low yield was due mainly to my own inattention when it came to water and temp./humidity. Overall, an awesome kit. Easy as pie, fast results, and relatively cheap. Can't wait for second flush now that I'm taking care of the growing climate. Good luck!

Thanks for all the feedback that stuff about mycelium containing psilocybe freaks me out a little bite but Eyeball kid3's made it pass custom so I am hopefull .Chrome crow i had though of going the jar route but went with the kit for ease but the more i read the easier the jar method sound. If this kit dosnt make it through the mail ill try the jars. For my next grow i had thought of trying them after i learn a bit more Thank everyone +k.

If Customs were interested, they would have already taken an interest and destroyed the package. Don't worry.
It's funny....I actually went to a local head shop a couple of days back and bought a couple of pints of rye spawned with a cubensis strain ;-) Gotta love living in Canada.

Just a heads-up to everyone reading this.
Amazing Nature's spore syringes are pretty much totally worthless. 3 years ago, I traded Henk 2 ounces of my own homegrown morning glory seeds for 2 cube spore syringes and they were not good. Out of a dozen jars, I got 2 to actually colonized. Compare that to the PF syringes I had at the same time that had 100% colonization on the jars.
Maybe their stuff is better now, and maybe it was the travel overseas that made them crap, but I do know that their syringes did looked like they were just filled with tap water. Just a warning here.
