Yes to both.around 140 F it becomes unstable.

thanks. But how do I make peroxide agar then? add the H2O2 when the agar is still fluid but cooled down a little?

Yes. Once the agar solution has cooled, but before it sets, add the h2o2 and swirl it around to mix it in.

Dimitri tells me that a good level is around 10ccs of h202 per 500ml of agar
