Flammable Ping Pong Balls?

I enjoy making fireworks. Anyone ever hear of using ping pong (Table tennis) balls?

the balls are celluloid, not nitrocellulose per se

nitrocellulose is paper like flash paper or gun cotton, it's treated with a mixture of nitric and sulphuric acids

I'd tell you how to actually make nitrocellulose... but I have a feeling that would be irresponsible. Let's just say that ping pong balls have nothing to do with it, though.

they're a celluloid material, which is a compound comprised of nitrocellulose, camphor, and other materials
