Home made smoke bombs

God DAMNIT I love these things. I just whipped up another batch, and after I had about 12 laid out on the pan and cooling, I was trying to re-melt the mixture I had still had left in the tin that I was stirring in, and tilted it too much over the hot plate.....and I guess it heated up some tiny blobs that were hanging over the edge of my tin...so I set it down, and the blobs spread it to the rest of the pan, and pssssssssssssssssh! It was great.

Anyone else like home made smokers?

Get a plain ping pong ball and wrap it in aluminium foil. Apply a heat source (a lighter or sparkeler) to the outside of the foil and wait for the smoke to start pouring out.

you use salt peter and sugar if im not mistaken, passasium nitrate and sugar melted togather at a certain ratio.

A friend and me made one one time out of potassium nitrate (stump remover) and sugar. We had it all melted down in a glass mason jar and had some wicks from bottle rockets tied together we were going to use as a fuse. Well that was a bad idea. We brought it back inside and we were going to put it in the freezer so it'd dry faster but as it was sitting on the counter the heat ignited the fuses.

Poof!

His entire house was filled with thick white smoke. I couldnt see myself in the mirror at the end of his hallway (like 40' away).

We got his house cleared of smoke in like 30 mins and his parents came back and didnt suspect a thing =) we're that slick.

My friends in high school bought 50 pounds of potassium nitrate from a local chemical store and made a whole bunch of those.
