Injection amount/process

hey guys, seems like shroomery has been down a lot lately, whats that about?

Anyways, i got these half pint jars, and have hear you inject .5-1 cc of spores. Is this correct?

The jars have self healing injection sites, so if someone could direct me to some credible information on the process IE. shaking of syringe, sterilization, etc. that would be helpful

Take the cap off your syringe..you can either heat the needle to sterilize it or what i do is take a cotton ball and put rubbing alchol on it and then wipe the needle with the alchol cotton ball then wipe with another dry cotton ball to dry. Then slip needle in at an angle and put tip gently on the side of the glass and squirt 1/4cc for each inoculation point(1cc per 1/2 pint) As you squirt the spores u should see the fluid seep down the jar. take needle out repeat process. Always remember to shake your syringe after each inoculation point. and Sterilize your area...........Peace

If you have a small walk-in closet or something of the sort spray it down with oust and do it in there. I usually wait about 5 minutes after spraying it and I wear a dust mask but it's not too important.

If it is not possible for me to completely sterilize an area should I take a alcohol soaked cotton ball and wipe over injection sites?

Could you use a regular bic lighter to sterilize, or do you need to use an alcohol burner (saw these for sale on some of shroomery sponsors sites)

Also what is considered better:
1)Wiping down needle with alcohol soaked cotton ball
2)Heating needle

i usually heat my needle until it is red, then wipe it down with some vodka on a cotton ball... and then take a swig of the vodka
