I just have a general question concerning the effects of alcohol on a trip! Can alcohol enhance or ruin a shroom trip? Can it effect a person's ability to sense that they are tripping? Can it make shrooms take longer to kick in?

I have drank alcohol almost every time I have shroomed, but never in large quantities. I have never shroomed after I have had more than a few beers though and normally I'll drink like a six-pack over the course of a 3-4 trip. It can't really say if it ruins or enhances the trip but I certainly have been satisfied with the trips I have had while drinking alcohol.

I almost always drink when I trip. When I drink I drink in excess too. I like it. I get all stumbly and shit but I don't get spinny and queasy from the alcohol no matter how much I drink. If you stick with the beers you will be ok. Try it why not it wont hurt ya. If you don't like it don't do it again what do you have to lose

I guess this comes from going to a lot of music festivals, but I'm used to washing my fungus down with a nice heady sam adams or two. Once I get rolling, however, I rarely have the desire to drink. I usually sally a beer all night and drink a bunch of water.
I personally don't think it has a huge impact on your trip in small quantities.

When I trip, I have this thing about not putting anything artifical in my body...I might just be weird, but tripping gets sorta intense sometimes, and Id rather just drink a lot of water rather than beer.
A few of my friends say you can actually drink MORE when shrooming...why someone would really have the mind to gather the information on aquiring beer, and even trying to open one, Id come to the conclusion you should just eat more mushrooms.. hehehe.
Sometimes shrooming, I look at things man-made and freak out , there for I only trip in the forest, and become the bush man of the forest...everythign makes sense, believe me.

Check out www.eurowid.org. They've got a lot of information on many things. I remember reading last night there that alcohol can increase the queasiness at the beginning, but that later on, it doesn't really have much effect (short of dehydrating you -- bad).

drink a quart of hard alcohol, then eat 2 grams of cubies and stop drinking... if you can handle the alcohol, you won't get sick and it prolongs the drunk, but adds the total wackedness of the shrooms... I've done this a couple of times and it was a lot of fun... the only thing to remember is that alcohol and shrooms both dehydrate you, so remember to down a couple of glasses of water with the shrooms, and have fun

You shouldn't drink alcohol when shrooming. Shrooms dehydrate you, alcohol dehydrates you. You'll have a better trip without the booze.

i could never get myself to drink while tripping, but when i was coming down one time i drank much more than i normally could. for some reason its like it had no effect on me at all.

i drank like once while tripping, it was an intresting experience, and then i remebered all the beer my friend put down while he was tripping. after he came down from the trip, he was still drunk, and then it escalted to him being violently sick from all the beer finally catching up with him. i asked him why he drank so much, he didnt realize he did, so if you drink and im speaking from experience, its pretty hard to stop doing it while youre tripping. because you feel the effects of the alcohol, but then again you really dont, and you get in the mind state that its just something to drink, you know how confusing things can get. my advice to you would be to not overdue what your normally used to doing and stay hydrated.

when on shrooms i can drink drink and drink and hardly feel the effects of alcohol,
most people i know also have the same expierience.
It really hasn't much of any effect on the trip unless you drink a stupendous amount imo.
If you do drink alot you'll feel it somewhat the next morning.
I know many times I should of woke up with a hangover but didn't.
Now smoking bud on mushrooms, thats where its at.....
if you wait a few hours (till after you peak) and smoke some good bud..
it'll take you to a much higher plane...

The mushroom is sacred, I agree.. and there is a lot to be said for a pure unaltered mushroom trip.. it can be a spiritual journey, thats for sure. But if you choose to drink also, thats your decision, and just because someone chooses to do so, doesn't in anyway mean that they are tarnishing some holy rite or some shite like that... of course some freaky zealot fanatics may disagree, but it's all in good fun, and as long as people are careful and responsible, then I don't see why the hell not.
Do what you like, just know what your doing.

Well before I understood shrooms properly, when I was a young partier. I used to drink a case of beer with my 3 or 4 grams. I found that the mushrooms overpowered the alcohol and I could drink as much as I wanted. I also found the drinking dulled the trip.....stoping me from reaching the full potential of the trip. Once the shrooms wear off you are drunk as fuck or should I say to drunk to fuck hehehe

Back in the early 80's.....i used to party like a mad man.
I'd use anything and everything....pretty stupid now......looking back.
I ended up getting my stomach pumped in a hospital a few times....mostly from pills.
No i'm not preaching.....lolz
Just stay the fuck away from Angel Dust....that is some bad shit !!!!
I could drink and drink and hardly feel the effects of alcohol...while on shrooms.
Ungodly amounts of alcohol too...looking back i was fricken nutz !
It was like the alcohol had no effect....what so ever.
What i remember was the day after the most....feeling like crap!!!!
Smoking some Chronic on Shrooms....was always a good experience.
These days i really don't drink that much.... I'm an old fart now.
If i have a few drinks...... i don't do shrooms.
And when i trip on shrooms nowdays i enjoy my spirital moment....so i don't use other things.
Although I have read that someone said they had put shrooms in ToKillYa...now that i'd like to try...someday.
