the legendary blue mushroom?

befor i got into this i always heard stories that the colored mushrooms are more potent and everyone say blue ones r the best i been everywhere and i see no pics of a full blue strain is this a myth a urban shrrom legend if u may call it?

As far as i know, that must be a myth. But it is true that Psilocybe Cubensis mushrooms have a blue look from being touched.

I dunno about any strain of 'blue' mushroom, but I'd wager this was a myth that came from the fact psilocybin mushrooms stain blue. But staining is psilocybin breaking down, so its not necessarily a good thing.

I'd hate for someone to be heartbroken while expecting to finally know the secrets of mythical / imaginary mushrooms, only to see a pic of a dog so I edited mine out.
When did it stop being fun around here? Who cares?

yeah. . the mystical "blue shroom" you hear about is how psilocybes become bluish where bruised/handled.

Stamets says there are 2 indicators of mushrooms that contain psilocybin:
1. They stain blue/green, and
2. The print is purplish to jet black.

According to his writing, if you have a mushroom that has both these qualities, you have a psilocybe.

You are not a mod and maybe if you asked Thor nicely he would make you one. Are you that concerned with the bandwidth that you have to flame every post that you feel is off topic? Sorry to point this out to you specifically, there are many people that just love to tell others that their post is in the wrong forum. In case you can't tell, I am tired of all the want-to-be forum police. When you make a forum, you can start policing it.

The intention of his post was not to talk about his dog. I'm sure, if it was, he would have posted it elsewhere. The dog talk in no way prevents anyone from posting their say about the magic blue mushroom. Who cares if another topic develops? Get a life.

My dog is named Sam. He is 50% Collie, and 50% Golden Retriever. He's my best friend in the whole wide world. He weighs 53 pounds and has shiny blonde hair. Your bull dogs could probably beat him up, but he can jump like Michael Jordan. I'd like to have (or whatever the PC term for living with a dog is) a bullmastiff some day.
