A graduation ceremony (need advice)

I'll be graduating soon from my degree program.  My graduation ceremony is coming up in a few months and I have absolutely no interest in going.  I always hated shit like this.  I would be quite content to skip the whole affair.

However, my mother and grandmother are on my ass to go.  They refuse to listen to me when I say that I don't want to do it.  The only reason to go would be to pacify them.  I really don't want to piss off my mum or grandmum (:heart: x 10), but I really don't want to go to this ceremony.  Dammit.

I didn't go to my college graduation. Shit... I was just one of several thousand people leaving the university that year. I spent it partying with my gf (now wife!) and her friends out in a campground on the lake :-)
