Need Advice...

Well I am currently a senoir in highschool, I turned 18 about 2 months ago. The problem is I just spoke with my guidance counseler and he pretty much in laymens terms told me their is no way I will graduate this year due to not enough credits. Now there is no way I am going back next year.

I have decided to drop out in a few months, Just want to save up some money and such then I plan on going to VT were my uncle lives, He owns a roofing company and I am going to be speaking to him about getting a full time job. I know the work sucks, But I can handle it. Been doing for the past 4 years every summer.

Just wondering if people who currently live in VT or similar states what the economy is like. Meaning what type of income do you need to make to be able to support self. I am not trying to live a lavish life I am just trying to start off in a 1 bedroom appartment and have enough money to pay the bills food insurance and gas.

So really what I am looking for are people who can just tell me what type of income I will be needing to support this life style.

By the way its going to be in Nothern VT, The stowe area.

Just drop out now, don't go if you don't plan on finishing. Get a job so you can save some money up before you move.

If you made it this far, than you should easily be able to get a G.E.D.
do that now, while all that stuff is still fresh in your mind.
You can't roof for your uncle forever, you can get into college with a g.e.d, and the jobs will suck slightly less with than without.

Don't drop out as a senior because of a few lousy credit that you need. Maybe you could take summer courses, or double up on classes?

At the very least, get your GED before you do anything.

I think thats what I am going to do, I know if I drop out now I could easily room with my uncle until I save up enough money to get my feet on the ground and start taking baby steps.

i never understand people who go through all 4 years of highschool then decide to drop out.. fuck it man, you got this far.. just go a get those last few credits

see i was smart, i had like 2 credits by the time i turned 16.. i knew i wasnt gonna graduate on time.. so i dropped out and got my GED almost a year before anyone in my class graduated

learn a skill/trade.
do honest work & stay out of debt & you'll be alright.
