Well, I've found some Lucy again So I've organised tapes for the next weekend. I'll be at the local beach/regional park, it'll be a full moon (purrrrrrrrrr) and I've decided to take a blanket this time. And some liquid breakfast things for when my stomach gets really sore from hunger. Anyways, these are the tapes I've got lined up: (in order that I'm planning to play) Tape 1 : Devin Townsend - Terria and first half of Infinity Tape 2: Pink Floyd - Ummagumma Disc 1 and Dark Side of the Moon Tape 3: Velvet Acid Christ - Dimension 8 Tape 4: Tool - Aenema Tape 5: Earthtone 9 - arc tan gent Tape 6: The Wall Tape 7: Chemical Brothers - Surrender and some songs off Dig Your Own Hole I'm planning to drop as the sun sets, then listen to tunes all night on the beach. Then go home about 2 or 3, watch a vid, then watch the sun come up. Anyone got any tips that might help to make the trip as enjoyable as possible?

I'll have some friends there, but they'll be sober. So it'll be a kind of solo trip. They seem to understand and they give me my space to chill out and relax under the stars. The best part is usually the walk home with my best friend, we drop his girlfriend off, then go through all the bush walk ways. It's actually not scary, and in a full moon, the whole track lights up I have a good feeling about this trip, because I don't have to fear parents when I get home. That usually kills my trip. But this time they'll be in another country Oh, by the way, where do you usually buy glowsticks from?

Oh, never mind my glowstick question. I found some. Now I'm set, and I edited my tape list after hearing the Wall today. Damn Comfortably Numb, seduces me everytime. I'm so damn excited now! The week is gonna drag by... All that's left is to hope the weather is good. If not, a bit of rain never killed anyone

Well, it's the morning after the trip. The plan strayed a little during the trip. The weather was pretty shit, so I spent the first few hours inside. Managed to listen to the first few albums during the peak, watching the rugby (my friend wanted to see the final before we headed out) and that was pretty damn weird. The TV was morphing and the game was in fluid motion to the music. Every time the music hit a very positive vibe, our team would get a try or something. Before that we watched That 70s Show. We went down to the beach later and the weather was ok for about an hour, then it rained and we had to shelter under a bridge. I had a green glow stick, so that was mightly entertaining. I was like WOW! when I snapped it into action. Ended up going home early (about 11) The walk home just killed my energy and put me in a bit of a shitty mood. I got home and my brother's got heaps of people around drinking, and I head to my room, and my cds have been borrowed, they're all over the room and I just completly lost it. I did some damage control and tried to get my wits together, and calm down, find out which cds have been borrowed, and put all the cases back. Then I head to the bathroom to freshen up. Then back into my room, put on Tool, cranked it, and put on the lava lamp, and lay on my bed and caught my breath again and calmed down. At first I was pissed off at my brother, he came into my room, and he was drunk as and kind of intruding, and I find it really hard to communicate with people. So the first few minutes I was really shitty with him for coming into my room and taking my cds. Then I managed to make some sense of things, and turns out my brother has done acid before, and I finally relaxed and seemed a little bit at ease. We had a bit of an awkward conversation, with me trying to compose full sentences, but failing all the time. I went downstairs to have a beer with my big brother, and we went outside to have another conversation. He told me about some of his drug stories. Quite amusing. He may be shouting me a tab in a few weeks. More awkwardness followed (I'm quite shy, and never usually talk to my brother, and his friends, so I didn't know what to say and had trouble hearing them). Back into my room, more music, I'm feeling better, but still a bit confused about finding out about my brother in this state. My original purpose has been lost, but I guess I can't ALWAYS have things go to plan. All this reinforces that I definitely don't enjoy talking on a trip, and prefer to tune out to music and lie outside under the stars. I didn't get to watch any vids on the come down, I was a bit drained after the walk home and everything else. I realised that I NEED a better way of getting home. All in all, a pretty interesting and disturbing trip. I learnt a lot of things about my brother, and realised that I really don't know him that well at all. With that sorted, now I can relax when I come home tripping or am around him. I don't need to hide it from him anyway, and he understands and said "like i'd give a fuck if you were on acid". Well, thats my night. Went to bed about 6am and it took a while to get to sleep.
