A Great Trip Plan
    #673479 - 06/11/02 03:41 PM (22 years, 3 months ago)

You CAN plan a great trip:

Mine are all alike, 'cause I do THE EXACT SAME THING EVERY TIME!

I've done this over 40 times in the last 12 years and EVERYONE who's participated has not been able to thank me enough. Newbies as well as shroom heads!

MUSIC WILL NEVER SOUND BETTER THAN WHEN TRIPPING ON SHROOMS!! IT'S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

Trip AT NIGHT with a friend or two or three. Have enough pairs of HIGH QUALITY headphones for 1 for each person. Connect the headphones (with y-adapters) to the SPEAKER output of a good quality receiver. (this can be done with some wire and a heaphone jack from Radio Shack) Just use either channel's negative connector for the common ground.

Pre-test your set-up BEFORE tripping!! You don't want to have to mess around with this then!!

This method assures the best quality sound and that you'll be able to drive several pairs of phones with the receiver to a sufficient sound level.

Make sure each person will have a comfortable place to sit or lay down and that the headphone cords are long enough for some freedom of movement.

Have your music pre-aranged on CD (it's best to burn custom CD's yourself in advance to pre-skip the songs you don't want to hear from the following albums);

Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
Beatles - Sgt Pepper's
Rush - Moving Pictures (why do you think they named it that? )
Squeeze - Singles
REO Speedwagon - Hi Infidelity
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

This is a short list of some of the BEST tripping music there is.

Eat a tuna fish sandwich for lunch 4-6 hours before the trip that night. Fish is brain food! It will help the shrooms do their thing better.
Instruct your friends to do the same.

Now the fun part...
I recommend 1-2 grams (dry) for beginners, 3.5-5 grams for experienced trippers. Put your dose in a blender with pre-sweetened lemon flavored iced tea (about a half cup should do fine) blend for 1-2 minutes until the shrooms are pulverized. Pour into a short glass and spoon off the foam and discard it.

Do this for each participant seperately. Clink your glasses, toasting the Beatles and God (for the music and shrooms respectively) and down your doses simultaneously.

Spark up some sweet green!! Make sure you've got it!! Pre-roll a few j's to take you through the evening. Pot enhances the effect of whatever drug you're doing and mushrooms are no different! They go together like peanut butter and jelly, like bagels and cream cheese! The colors get brighter with each hit, the weed lets your mind relax and go wherever the shrooms may take it.

Now... you're ready to start - It's dark outside, close all curtains, blinds, what have you, to make sure it's as DARK AS POSSIBLE in the room! Pitch black is BEST!! It shouldn't matter if your eyes are open or closed, you should be able to see NOTHING but what the shrooms produce.

Keep the remote for the CD player handy so you can pause beetween songs to check on your friends and have SHORT chats about the experience. Don't waste the precious 4 hours of music time talking! Avoid pausing or skipping in the middle of a track, this tends to piss some people off big time!

A warning... Just as you'll find that music produces beautiful images and feelings, it can also do the OPPOSITE!! Be careful what you listen to!!

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE END OF "I Am The Walrus" when tripping!!!! - The Beatles had to prove this theory, and they DID.
The end of that song produces UGLY images and a feeling of disgust and discomfort! When you hear "everybody huh-huh, everybody huh-huh" SKIP TO THE NEXT SONG!!! (Better yet, edit that track before burning the CD and fade it out at that point)

(You'll also want to make sure you don't play the last track of Sgt. Peppers... it's an endless loop of the part that played backwards on vinyl was supposed to say "I killed Paul" or some such trash. Just sounds like crap to me.)

If you're wise enough to take my advice and try this trip, you will find it to be the best trip of your life. Please share your opinion with me when you're done.

Have Fun-Guys!

TM

P.S. I'd love to hear some feedback about this plan.

Sounds like a very good, well thought out idea. When i'm tripping I like headphones much better than listening to the music out of the speaker. Better quality IMHO!

Doesn't it tend to get bother just sitting there in the dark time after time every time you are tripping? I tend to try something new each time I trip. To make it it's own special experiance.

You should do the same thing, except in a camping environment and laying under the stars and a full moon. Absolute bliss.

Already beat that by a mile! Did it on my boat on a river on the 4th of july 800 feet from a fireworks barge that did a 35 minute state of the art display that was strangely synched with Sgt. Pepper's during the peak of my trip! BEAT THAT!

I've done that 2 years in a row, and can't wait for 3 weeks and 2 days from now to do it AGAIN!! Best 2 nights of my entire life!! BAR NONE!!

Actually sounds quite interesting. I have never tripped in pitch dark while listening to headphones. Im sure the visuals and thoughts are scenery enough. I will try it sometime and report on it. Thanks Postalboy

"I am the Walrus" is an awesome tripping tune UP TO THAT POINT... Well worth hearing, but you just DON'T wanna go where it takes you at the end. It's extremely UGLY and depressing and could really bum you out for what may seem like an eternity in that state of mind.

Tell you what wint, YOU LISTEN TO IT TRIPPING!! Have a GREAT time dude!!

I love where that point in the song takes me. It always makes me think i'm holding a torch and walking down into some dark hidden tunnel or something.

Are you talking about "Oh untimely death!"

I love that.

The whole ending from "everybody huh-huh" on just totally disgusts me. I heard it once during a great trip and it ruined about the next 10 or so minutes for me, so I swore I'd never listen to that part again, nor subject my fellow mind-wanderers to it.

I highly recommend RUSH - Moving Pictures - totally awesome! "YYZ", "Limelight" (which is my FAVORITE SONG OF ALL TIME) and "The Camera Eye" are the 3 best tracks for trippiin'. "Tom Sawyer" and "Red Barchetta" were over-played.

Squeeze is also great trippin' music especially "Cool for Cats", "Tempted", "Pulling Mussels from a Shell" and the best of all "Annie Get Your Gun"

REO sounds extremely GOOD! Especially "Don't Let Him Go", "Tough Guys" ('she' is shrooms) and "Out of Season". "Shakin' it Loose Tonight" is also good, but it just takes 'em too damn long to get to the shakin' it loose part! (I usually FF to it).

Try a Goa party and tripping for 3 days non-stop while in the deepest states of single-pointed mind (Samadhi)....the drugs are a great catalyst...but once they wear off the Goa will keep your mind "there" and you'll be tripping naturally for the rest of the experience.

When I used to dose LSD I would eat my dose and put my ear plugs in, go sit in front of the speakers in half-lotus position and simply begin mindfulness meditation for the next few hours til I peaked then I get up and trance dance the rest of the party...great way to spend an evening/weekend if I do say so myself.

Of course if you're bored, sex while blowing up on a ten-strip of LSD is AMAZING...as well as taking a shower in the dark while blowing up on LSD.

Love & Light,

Boppity

that sounds pretty decent and all, but i kinda like to get outside when im tripping. ive done the whole "sit in the dark listening to music thing," but i think mushrooms have a lot more to offer than that. i do agree with the headphones thing though, and everyone plugged into the same music. the best headphones are the large "open air" type, they give the most natural sound IMO. as far as your music choices, hell yeah for floyd and beatles, but im pretty sure one shriek from geddy lee would send me into a bad trip. i know lots of people like rush, but i think the quality of their music would inceras a hundredfold if he would just keep his goddamn mouth shut and stick to the bass...

Already did this outside! Did it "on my boat on a river" on the 4th of july 800 feet from a fireworks barge that did a 35 minute state-of-the-art display that was strangely perfectly synched with Sgt. Pepper's during the peak of my trip! BEAT THAT!

The only time Geddy's lyrics bother me is in "The Camera Eye"... That tune should be instrumental! What's all this "city streets" bullshit? If he wants to sing "The focus is sharp in the city" at the end THAT'S okay, but for the first 9:30 SHUT UP!

You MUST listen to RUSH through good phones while shroomin' before saying anything negative! "Don't knock it 'til you've tried it". They are definate MASTERS... right up there with Beatles and Floyd!

I think it says "I buried Paul" Ever heard that Paul may be dead, that he died in a car cash and they had and look-a-like contest and never announace the winner but actually 'turned' the winner into Paul. Their alot of 'sercet' stuff they put in pics and songs to say paul is dead.

Most-likey a money deal and he really isn't dead, but never know?

Maybe there's only one beatle left!

Nah, lennon says "cranberry Sauce". I think the Beatles came up with the paul is dead stuf, and they did put clues in albums covers, pics and lyrics, just for a laugh.
I listened to I am the wulrus tripping, although it was on in the background. strawberry fields is brilliant for tripping.

I love Beatles while tripping, also The Doors, White Noise, Shpongle, and some other stuff, but those are the favourites. I don't mind a little darkness, I think it's a part of the "cleansing" process unless it followes you through the trip.

"This is a short list of some of the BEST tripping music there is"

I suppose it really depends on the person. I have never found any beatles or music with a guitarist and singer like everyone else seems to enjoy as truly "psychedelic." The singer and his words always remind me of humans. The sound textures, even in hendrix, are also not very impressive, while the melodic compositioin may be.

For me, I need music that has no lyrics (lyrics remind me of thoughts and a defined self, as someone is singing). Some mind-bending texture based music is a must. If you think some beatles or somethiing is intense to trip to, I should send you an mp3 or 2.

Not that I am saying my music taste is better or something, obviously stick with whatever makes you happy and you have a good time with.

I totally agree with your suggestion.  Just look at my title!!!  If you want info on REAL headphones click on my sig.  I am a changed man ever since I got my pair of cans.  As to hendrix - I had my best trip ever listening to Jimi at Woodstock while on 4 grams.  Jimi was weaving colors and textures throughout my field of perception.  He was having conversations with himself through his guitar playing.  If you don't feel it is adequate you just haven't experienced it like I have.  Headphones MAKE your trip.

It is not the same.  Headphones give you surround sound no matter which way you turn your head.  Also headphones can give you sound quality that rivals stereo setups that cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars.  My cans cost $99 and they were the best investment of my life to date.  I couldn't afford sound like that from a stereo.  I listened to ALL of my cd's over again because of all the extra noises and sounds that I heard swirling around my head.  Check my sig if you don't believe me.

Love ya Mark!

I am not talking about the headphones that came with your ipod or sony headphones. There is a whole different level of sound that can be achieved with quality cans. Check out my sig, I plead you. I still like headphones even if they aren't of high quality. You don't get to FEEL the bass though!
