Some of you guys watch some freaky ass movies...some I can't even stand to watch sober.
I always have to watch movies while I'm tripping, its actually the only time I can ever sit through an entire movie, usually two
my list
- The Fifth Element - Blade Runner - The Matrix - Bjork - Volumen (a collection of her videos, absolutely essential for me) - Vanilla Sky - Ronin - Airplane - Cannibal The Musical - All 3 Back to the Future movies (cheesy but fun)

1. The Mothman Prophecies. 2. Signs. 3. Unbreakable. 4. Mulan. 5. Gladiator. (If you can sit still for three hours)
I saw 'Identity last night sober, and wished I was high. Very good stuff.

Yeah, the movie and the book don't follow exactly the same storylines.
"It's impossible to make a movie out of 'Naked Lunch.' A literal translation just wouldn't work. It would cost $400 million to make and would be banned in every country of the world." -- David Cronenberg
The movie has some good biographical material from Burrough's life. The William Tell routine really happened, for example, and was the reason Bill moved to Tangiers (Interzone?) for a while. Hank and Martin, who are in the book too, are supposedly Kerouac and Ginsberg. It's a great movie, but it doesn't get into the social commentary that makes Burroughs the monster author he is. Definately a movie you'd enjoy more after reading the book, if you can stomach it.

1. Natural Born Killers
2. The Cube
3. Apocalypse Now
4. The Animatrix
5. Dune (probably my favourite) I've been told that the "spice melange" was inspired by ketamine. What do you think?
(not necessarily by this order)
