Traveling with spores

I am going to be flying to a US territory in the Carribean from the US mainland and I want to take a handfull or two of spore sryinges with me. I am shipping most of my stuff, but I am afraid that the spores will get too hot in the shipping containers sailing across the ocean and die. Does anybody know what would be the best thing to in this situation? I also have a decent library of slants that I would like to take as well, but I don't see how that is going to happen.

If spores are legal their and your syringes don't have needles in them then I would say to just put them in your carry on and label the spores as a sample of plant food.
