 Signs Of Growth.. have Questions

ok well i was at my buddies crib today and saw some pretty interesting stuff...
basically his jars show signs of growth 6 out of 12 jars... I noticed that there was white growth but it looked weak in some areas making the mycellial growth look thin and opaque.... couldnt tell for sure if thats contam or mycellium.
Anyways another amazing thing is he has these plastic containers he put substrate into and innoculated with syringe... anyways theres mycellium growing all over the sucker on day 8... its all bubbling up and shit looks like whip cream on the top of the substrate and shoots through substrate... the container btw is a microwave safe 15 cup container.... it looks yummy..
Basically i have 2 questions
1. How would he know if the mycellium is mycellium , rather then some type of contamination? everything at this point is white but I wouldnt say in all places it is bright white in some places as I said his jars are white but its thin and the substrate kinda tints the mycellium and makes it look off white....
2. Is strong mycellial growth supposed to kinda look like foam or whipped cream cause on the 15 cup container I swear the mycellium is literally growing upwards, downwards sideways and physically off the substrate almost like its pushing up to form a shroom?????? Is this even feasible?? what the hell is going on?? its only day 8, he is so impressed with the way it looks he made 4 more 15 cup containers...
Sorry folks if im rambling, also I will add, anywhere he see's growth is under an innoculation point. So does this mean good chance that jars are cool?
lastly will growth in first stages before actually being bright white look kinda dim white maybe a lil slimy before actually turning white????

a tupperware container? i don't understand how he could keep a tupperware container sterile for colonization of cubensis mycelium. how did he innoculate it? with what? yes. cubensis mycelium forms lumps called hyphal knot which then grown into and become pin heads then shrooms.
my mycelium has never looked like whipped cream, although when your quart jar is 100% it does look good enough to eat.

aero plastic container was microwaved for 15 mins ... has a lid...
when cool placed tin foil over lid and wrapper container..
substrate is BRF, VERM, Water
let cool, innoculated with syringe...
In 8 days at all innoculation pints in container mountainous mycellium is growing into the substrate but also off of the substrate upwards like a shroomy
