busted... help?

I was hunting a new little spot i picked up on, and as i came out of the woods, they were waiting for me. The best part of the story is i was picking eddible chantrelles that day, they searched my car and i happened to have left some weilli in my car.
hahaha i was picking eddibles i left the weilli out there that day... its sad sad sad sad bullcrap!

the shrooms i had were in evidence over a week, in plastic bags, would that break down the ps. content?

anyhow, i plan to just plead first offenders, get my prob. be good, have it all dropped upon completion...

and then ill be done with the hunting

:-(

im not even an addict i pick shrooms for god-sake

Did they know what the weilii were? What probable cause did they have to search your car? Were you trespassing?

Hate to hear this. What absolute bullshit the drug laws are in this country.

That sucks.  I hope I never have to give up hunting.  The vehicle search does sound like bullshit.  If you had a bunch of chanterelles on your person there is no probable cause to believe there might be actives in your car.  You should fight it.  Fuck the police :piss:

I'm with Pikashroom, say you were hunting edibles, and use the chants as your proof, when they ask about the weilii, just say you found them on an earlier foray, and thought they were edible.

I went to st thomas and camped out ontop of the island... Despite my entire family being poor all my life, the land is priceless.
I was chased by haitians in the main city charlotte amalie when my girlfriend and I got some cocaine for free in a bar and mixed it with alcohol, to form a stronger drug. With such confidence at 2am, we walked the 4-5 or so miles down to the beach where the african slaves lie like lions waiting on tourist prey.

The war isen't on drugs... the war is on the causes that influence people to abuse drugs. drug-abuse is a by-product of the system and much like radioactive waste occurs from utilizing nuclear power, drug addicts with drug-problems will need to be properly disposed of, like the decaying radioactive waste produced from nuclear energy. -i2ancid

curecat, that woulda only worked in the begining of the confrontation with the police. I'm sure the police wrote down a detailed conviction report for the judge, as weilii pickers are causing alot of trouble down in woodstock lately.

That's a shame... Well, we don't know what he said or how much the police know.
If it doesn't conflict directly with what was reported, it might still be worth a shot.

Sorry to hear that ihaveacow.

Trespassing for mushrooms is a huge risk. Too many people get busted for it.

The court system probably would not show much mercy for a trespassing case. You'll go through their system like a vampire sucks blood.

Good luck putting these legal problems behind you.

If it's your first offense then that helps, but it's still a felony.
I say fight it, fight the hell out of it. Many shroom cases are thrown out when the hunter in question has multiple species, and claims to be looking for edibles. Having a very small amount of weilii helps this, as it would be understandable to pick a few for ID.

That sucks man! I would fight for your rights first. I would say they had no probable cause to search my car (unless you were trespassing or seen doing suspicious activity earlier). I would fight for your rights and not tell them anything unless they have solid proof of shit. Get up, stand up... Stand up for your rights...  :thumbup:
