who would have thought that an oscillated tone with certain filters could make a kick sound.........

Here is a good tutorial from psilocyberin... once you get done dicking around trying to screw with actual waves, find a software gate, have a 20-80 hz (which ever one you feel) and key it to the gate, that way , every time the kick is hit, it opens up that oscillation tone and give you sub boooooooom.

also, if you have no musically gifted friends, or no one has been demoted at bands first practice from one of the 4 guitarists to bass player, take a bass sound, arppegiate it for a certain sound you want, and then key it to a gate on the kick, that way, every time you hit the kick, you have certain bass tones coming, exactly on beat with the kick.

I tried it and I didnt get a very good kick...

I remember people saying to use that tek to get a good full-on kick but I got nowhere near a full-on kick. I got more of a goa trance style kick...

Maybe I missed something...

See the last psytrack I made (post entitled 'some screaming psy'). that kick was made with this tutorial.

The tutorial gives a rough idea of how to get a kick, how to shape it to your likings takes a little tweaking with the processes shown in the tutorial :thumbup:
