So. $40 OR a day in jail?

So I went to court to fight my ticket. The guy before me had a $200+ ticket for public urination. They let him off. My ticket for sitting, which I wasn't even guilty of? They found me guilty of course. So I have to pay a $40 fine, or I have the option of going to jail for a day. What say the people?

from what i remember people were abusing it and laughing as they went in so they started mixing traffic offenders with killers and then that happened
