Perlite humidification.

Ok this is my first time casing and I'm a bit confused. I have almost fully colonized substrate jars and I am definetely going to case. I'm going to use the 50/50 tek on thehawkseye.com It says to put the moist perlite in the container then put the substrate on top of that then the casing. Is this how your supposed to do it??
However the picture looks like there is perlite in the aquarium under the tray that the casing is in. Is there supposed to be perlite in the bottom of your aquarium and in the bottom of the tray you keep the casing in?? Do people think its worth it to put in the oyster and lime in this casing? I am a major newbie I don't want to get too complicated. Can anyone give me an overview of what a casing setup should look like and what it should have in it?
Thanks a bunch

Err.

1. vermiculite on the bottom of the tray (not perlite) to absorb excess moisture, then substrate, then casing.

2. perlite on the bottom of the aquarium to create humidity.

read the FAQ http://shroomery.org/faq

also there was a good post here about casing, do a search for "casing 101"
