Terrarium Humidity Question???

I just started a test terrarium to see what type of humidity i would get out of perlite and water. I am using a 10"X10"X13" rubermaid container for 2 cakes. The cakes are near birthing and i want to make sure that i have the right setup by the time they are ready. I have about 1 inch of perlite with a little more than 1/4 inch of water under it. The humidity with a anolog hygrometer reads a 96%. I was wondering if the cakes will affect the humidity when they are placed in box. Will it raise humidty or lower humidity. Just trying to get a heads up before i birth. Thanks all

I don't think the adding the cakes will make any difference in the humidity.

Try adding a little more water.

Your humidity gauge could also be off.

96% humidity is pretty good.....I try and get 98% for cakes.
