Once, on a particularly high level of psychedelic substance...

I came upon the realization that this reality that we've come to know is just an experiment, fabricated by a separate entity to study how these specific conditions would unfold. "Reality" was just a single possible scheme they were testing, an experiment of our current universal laws and perceptions, and what would result from such. They had several other data sets, us just being one of many.

I no longer hold this view, I don't think, but this revelatory experience haunted me for years.

It could be paranoia as well as imagination or awareness on some level as well. It doesn't has a solid prove but it might as well be something like that, considering that we don't relly know that much about "where we come from". I don't think it really matters but the idead doesn't soud scary or insulting to me.
So what if it was like that? Would that give us a handicap? I don't think so. I think, whether this is real or not, what we learn from it, from life is important. Not all "experimets" are mean and not all "cobais" are "abused".
It's only the way we look at it and the way we decide what to make of it, whatever that "it" may be.

I would have to agree with you to a large extent. Something similar to this happened to me a few weeks ago on a solo trip.

I was gone, waaay gone, farther than I had ever been. I transcended myself and starting becoming all these different people. I became my mom, brother, father, grandmother and father, a few friends, and then a few people I didn't even know. I remember the phrase that I kept muttering which was something along the lines of "Fuck! All this, none of this is real, it's only real because everyone believes it is."

At that point, I realized that we were just some play thing/experiment for something else; whether or not it was still interested, I'm not sure, but it didn't seem like it, and I can't say that I blame it.

Obviously all things are a grand experiment since they are ever mutating and all codependent upon all other things such that one tweaks a nut here and a nut there eventually becomes loosened.

What mystifies me the most are rank and file materialists who think that their standpoint is so righteous that they are willing to pound all others into dust over it.

That's rather limiting and lacking in faith, hope, and vision. I think people all need to remain open to the possibilities of betterment, or of worsening, if that's a possibility. Each direction, better and worse, creates potentials for experimentation.

That everything that could be possibility be imagined, no matter how ludicrous it may sound or look, that some dimension it holds as a true reality, I mean y not sense the universe is infinite, then there is plenty of space to create, the whole planets population could conceive of 1 million thoughts individually and they all could manifest real, and it wouldn't graze a spec sand of how much space that is available,

although I do think thoughts are used in some way to create realities, such as the astral plane, we as humans may not come up with anything original sense we are inferior mortals with only 75 yr life span, but we're like what shrooms are when they produce, we give off our own version of CO2 to the new crops, which is basically an energy provided by abundance, we may not be just a lab experiment but also a necessary source, in which our breeding is necessary, similar to the matrix, when the machines were incubating humans for energy,

believed i saw something similar once. i mean i realize its just a metaphor, but i saw that all of exsistence was a "computer program" of sorts as part of a larger entity.

Well, I've had a similar "flash insight" on shrooms. That everything we know as "organic" is just a piece of super-mega-ultra God-like technology, but that at the same moment we are technology, we are also evolving to create that technology. So it's like we ARE living pieces of technology that we will eventually create and manifest in our physical experience of existence.

It's like I can't get away with this idea that we are creating ourselves spiritually, but we will eventually "create 'ourselves'" in a physical sense as well, as technology and human development continues to progress. We sort of "build ourselves" into the totality GOD as we continue a soul-journey through many dimensions and many physical arenas. Because everything is connected and interwoven so spirit and physical are BOTH evolving on the journey to be One with GOD.

Does anyone get what I mean?

Oh well, just something I've been fantasizing about.
