Everything is a cycle?
    #5946485 -

anyone else ever think about how everything is one big cycle, or a repetition? it all works in a circular fashion, in orbits. from the biggest and smallest physical processes to our daily lives. things like the orbiting of the solar system, all the way down to the orbiting of electrons, etc. and we all have many things that we consistently do each day. it feels like everything works in cycles to me. things that also come to mind are bodily functions, plant processes, weather cycles, and the process of life and death.

this to me means lots of repetition, in everything. yet humans are the one thing that i know of that has the power to alter their own cycles, through choice. each day can be different for a human. that's a great deal of power i think, kind of like we are the abnormality on this planet when it comes to the basic functioning of things.

anyway, just some thoughts i have had for awhile now. just curious if anyone else has similar thoughts or views on things? or maybe someone could lead me towards a school of thought or a book that is similar to how i feel? something that could help me learn about it further.

oh man, I spent countless hours over a few months period trying to explain this to a good friend of mine. I think he finally got it.

Yes, everything is on a giant circle, and within there are smaller circles in which everything else rotates, and it keeps going.

Concentric circle cycles you could say.

I wholeheartedly agree, everything in the universe has a rhythm. That's why music can be so beautiful

First time I shroomed I completely lost track of time, linear time at least. I realized that even though the clock no longer registered, I could keep track of time in a more organic way. While tripping, I was enjoying a nice cool glass of iced tea. Soon I had to go take a piss. I went, and I stood there over the toilet bowl and saw how simple it all was. Drink, Piss. I went back out, had another iced tea. Soon after, I was back over the bowl. Drink, piss. Later it became eat, shit. Then I walked outside and caught the Sun escaping over the horizon. Night, day. One big circle.

i sometimes also wonder if some crop circles are not pointing towards the same cycle principle. the are often circular, or have circular symbols in them. or they represent orbits of some kind it would seem (solar systems maybe?). also, i don't know much about sacred geometry, but the circle is very prominent there also. i kind of wonder if the circle is a universal symbol representing the way all things work.

Oh yes, this is definately true, at least in my experience & that of my friends. It's crazy isn't it? We're involved in something big, something we can't control. Just have to go with the flow.

Before I quit using DXM I took a 4th plateau dose. The universe and all life in it was symbolized as huge, medium size, and small gears. Every hinge or whatever fit perfectly into the next to keep the thing running. IDK maybe I'm crazy.  :bongroll:

"everything the creator does, it does in a circle" - Navaho saying

You are correct sir, or rather, i relate to what you are saying. I believe that the universe , reality itself, is circles but circles repeating on every level like you said, so in that since its more like a

FRACTAL.

contemplating the fractal, i had the gnostic realization of immortality. Not physical, but the certainty of an eternal awareness hit me like a ton of bricks. It scared me and made me cry.

It was reassuring, but it also raised an interesting question. what really scares us more, a dreamless sleep, or an eternal dream?

either way, i think you are correct.

As above, so below.

It also made me wonder if our journey to god ever ends. if you try to get to the white light at the center of a fractal, all you will do is uncover ever more complex patterns. You never reach the center because the center is constant generation.

Then i realized that we are the circle.

Peace
