How does my makeshift greenhouse look? (pic)

I got this 4 tier shelving thing at wally world cuz the walgreens by my house didn't carry HippyChick's mini greenhouses. I am gonna enclose it in a clear plastic drop cloth secured with duck tape. I am wondering if this is going to be to much shade though. This is in the corner of my closet and that's all the light it's gonna get unless I situate a lamp to hit it from the side or something. I am also wondering if I need to figure out a drainage system or not. Will water pool up in the bottom? give me some feedback

Water will pool on the bottom but a few holes and a driveway pan is all that is needed.
Now your shelves look solid or no holes in them. Tons of moisture are gonna build up on them dripping down on the shelf below they will also restrict air movement in the Martha. Something like these that allow a little more air movement.

water pooling in the bottom depends on what you use for humidity. If you use a humidifier, and set it on a timer for a few minutes per hour, you will be fine... or you can use a tray of perlite soaked in water at the bottom of the martha.....

Magash, so that is just open in the bottom, not sealed? I was just thinking of putting some exhaust holes in the bottom and running a cool mist periodically with a timer. You are right about the shelves. I guess I'll have to modify them with slits or buy some grille type shelves like you have there. Got any suggestions for timing the humidifier?

For the humidifier, I use a CoolMist that runs 24 hours a day. It keeps the humidity in a good range as dosen't create a lot of pooling. For your shelves, a large rubbermaid type lid underneath the shelving system is sufficient to catch any excess water.

Thats good stuff
I saw something like that at Walgreens (didnt have the min's either ).
It was like a 3/4 tier and it had a lil bit less space but I didn't get it because i wasn't sure what to use for the plastic
What kind of plastic wrap are you talking about?
I was thinking about using something like Press-n-seal...Or maybe some plastic off of something else, then just duct taping it
Glad I saw your post before I posted
Good luck with your set-up

After magash's observation about airflow being blocked I went crazy with the razor knife and cut a bunch of holes in the shelves. It helped the lighting too. As for catching the water, I was just planning on having the bottom enclosed in plastic. Wrap it from the bottom up. I guess you should suck the excess water out with a turkey baster or something huh?
For humidification I'm running three 3/4" wide pvc hoses from a coolmist, each hose going to a different shelf. This should distribute the fresh air nicely.
This thing might not look pretty when I'm done, but I think it's gonna work great.

I'm just using $1.00 a bag clear plastic drop cloth from wal mart. It's gonna be a duck taped monster, but who cares as long as it works.

Check it out. I was sweaty by the time I got all those damn holes cut out. I also had to hacksaw the tubing to make it short enough for that space.

DAMN lol...that's some work....
If you had a blowtorch and a screw driver...You could have just heated the screwed driver up and then made holes that way..Works like a charm
I'll check it out. TIA.

I like - I used a stapler instead of tape, it was much faster and less sticky. The small gaps are fine cuz I've still got too much humidity using the lowest setting on my ultrasonic.

The cut out job looks good that will be fine.
The bottom of mine had a plastic covering so I just cut holes threw it. The humidifier timing is gonna vary. Some people don't have to ever use a ultrasonic that's not true for all. Lot depends on the humidity where you live and the temp. My guess is you don't have to run a ultrasonic as much in the summer in Miami as in Palm Springs
