Dream-like reality

Just a little something that crossed my mind and though I would share with the rest of you:

When dreaming everything seems as if it flows, as if there is a purpose to it. While you are in a dream you might, but most of the time don't realize how random and non-linear the dream itself actually is. This brings up the question of consciousness. How do you know you are actually conscious right now? Maybe you are dreaming skipping around from one thought to the next, not even realizing that all your memories, everything you lived and know didn't really happen, just a split second in your mind. Could it be that its just a thought pattern in your brain telling you that this is life, that this is normal, that you must try to succeed in this world. Your alarm could go off at any minute, your whole world, your life could just disappear. You are literally creating your own reality. Time perception would be completely altered also, your whole existence as a human might have only been 5 minutes in a dream. When you finally do wake up you might not remember it at all. Have you ever tried to remember exactly what you were thinking in a dream? When dreaming, do you know how much time has passed, if everything happened in sequential order, or even remember anything about it? All the music you have heard, all the books you have read, everything you have learned, everything you have seen and heard, was all created by you.

Though I don't think that there's a body (at least not a human body, or a body that I might wake up into) lying in sleep dreaming all of this up (my reality), I do think that you're somewhat correct on a somewhat literal level.

Could it be that its just a thought pattern in your brain telling you that this is life, that this is normal, that you must try to succeed in this world.

That all that life is, at least that's all that life seems to be to me right now.

Life is just one long long boring period of conciousness in between naps. When i'm dreaming anything is possible, and i can be anywhere my mind can imagine and sometimes when i'm in the right mindset i become lucid and thats what i live for. Every time i go back to the same place, and practice flying, if i cant fly i just see how long i can stay in the air. It's the most fun thing i know.

Let me tell you this. If i had to be stuck in eternity, forever going, non ending, a dream is the only place i would want to be because of these things, they constantly flow, never getting old, always new and creative and mostly enjoyable. I hardly have bad dreams, they are usually very good except a few wich i was just reminded of tonight. I was real uneasy because there was stuff on my mind, i tossed, and turned, nothing bad was on my mind either, just change, a person, ya know. They seem to get te best of me, magnfying my bad thiings making them seem alot worse than they are, then when i wake up im like oh yeah...
