For what it's worth, I feel marijuana stands too far from the heavy psychedelics discussed in the PE forum to have it there. In my view it should either have its own main forum or be part of ODD.

Most users consider marijuana to be a casual drug similar to a cold beer, so that would make it more ODD than PE in my view.

Funny, I usually think of ODD as a forum for "harder" substances.


IMO, Marijuana can be a pretty heavy psychedelic at times.

i agree...
i think it should be left as is!
i wouldn't want to see stoners sent to the ODD and exposed to all that info :smirk:
and i find THC to be highly connected to any other psychodelic expiriance so it should stay with the psychodelics :shrug:

if it'd have it's own sub forum it would go against our purpose i think!
like wiccan mentioned many people regard cannabis as a casual drug when infact its not casual at all!!! just take a look at some of the topics in F&MWb and see for your self!
this way cannabis gets a little more respect... i could see an alcohol/nicotine subforum though :wink:

and come to think of it... i'd like to see an addictions subforum in F&MWb (although it's a bit of a hot/tuchy subject to take on in the shroomery... i do however feel there's a real need for it!)

I don't personally consider weed a "psychedelic". Ive never had ego loss from a blunt. Maybe some intelligence loss,lol, but no visuals or anything.

Oook... so why is MDMA in ODD then, and 2CE?

These are more psychedelic than weed is. I know this has to do with uncertainty of toxicity and similar things, but, still, marijuana falls somewhere in between.

MDMA fortifies bonds between lovers and friends. It brings people closer to another by annihilation of the burden of life, and open up the world of Peak Experiences.

THC tends to effect potent sedation and detachment overlaying a racing mind, and turns an otherwise intelligent conversation into a beavis-and-butthead routine.

LSD directly derives from nature (an amide of the fungal alkaloid base of Ergot) but so does MDMA (an amine of the major essential oil component of Sassafras)

MDMA isn't a research chemical and is far better known than say Salvia.

MDMA turns some people into fiends, but some potsmokers scrape the tar from pipes and resmoke, or eat that goop with a dramamine to keep from vomiting. Some of them run through the carpet to find that final crumb that might be there when their weed has ran out.

As for toxicity, a potsmoker is known to inhale carcinogens (if only carbon monoxide and the formaldehyde that are unavoidable even if you were to smoke purified cellulose) where properly synthed MDMA is not known to be toxic or carcinogenic on a regular dose.
There have been twenty years of MDMA being used by millions and it's still a pretty safe bet.

High-dose MDMA leads to breathtaking closed-eye visuals comparable only with the major psychedelics.

So with all this: if weed is to stay in PE, then MDMA ought to be in there too.

I agree 100% that RCs shouldnt be in the PE forum, but if weed is in there MDMA should be there too. They are the worlds most popular Minor Psychedelics.
