I love the mountains
    #5420244 - 03/19/06 08:31 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

Just spent a week camping out in the smokies

it was fucking amazing....
every morning i'd wake up and look up at the huge mountains surrounding me,
every morning it was a great reminder of how big and awesome the universe really is and how im just a small part of something much bigger...i found it very humbling

i feel so much better mentally/emotionally/spirtually after spending a week getting away from all my school bullshit, and getting away from TV/Internet/Cell Phones and other technology that my current form of life has become so dependent on

it was awesome too cause people from different parts of the country were always comin and going so i got to party with a bunch of different people during the night campfires too

fucking awesome!

I'm headed there in a couple of weeks, via the appalachian trail head at springer mountain, ga.

I'm going to attempt a thru-hike starting sunday, march 26.
