PMP airation

so right now i have a 50 quart poor mans pod with a 10-15 gallon air pump connected to it. I have a 20-30 pump as well but what I'm wondering is would it be good for the cakes to recieve a whole bunch of air or would i be content with the 10-15? because what im thinking about doing is using the 20-30 pump along with the 10-15

IMO bigger is better. mushrooms thrive from oxygen so why not. just make sure you have an airstone underwater or you might be looking at a dry casing or cake.

I have a Tetra airpump rated for a 100gal tank on my PMP. My tub is only a 40 gal i think...not sure at work. It runs 24/7.

Nevertheless my cases are fruiting beautifully now thanks to the PMP. And you can regulate the humidity with the holes in the top too, just make sure you use polyfill to prevent contams.

honestly i don't have the holes in the top cuz my lids are funky rubbermaid lids that leave room for air to escape. good thing the air is pushing out.

Thats kewl. I've heard that works too. I used holes because my lids have locking handles on the side. The lid fits flush all the way around. Plus like I said the holes allow me to regulate the humidity which is nice.

Use the bigger pump. Like coda says more FAE is better. His info is always trustworthy.

Great!!! I just added the other pump and hopefully it will be a fruitful decision :rofl2: however if something bad does happens i can always just unplug the damn thing  :grin: thanks for all the input!!  :thumbup:
