Maybe its just you, I don't find you to be very exciting.

Seriously, though, when it comes to my personal involvement with pirating media, I look at it the same way as a starving man stealing bread. I am an aspiring musician and I temporarily have to download all the musikk I can to inspire and to teach me musikk so that, in a few years, when I am professional, they can make much more money than what they would have hypothetically made from me if I had bought all of that musikk in the first place. Its an intangible, imaginary contract that they are not aware of.

Honestly, though, I do not justify my illegal behavior in any way and recognize the ramifications fully. Ethics is not a branch that, from what I have been given to understand of it, I think much of.

Do you pirate media?
I try to buy stuff only from bands whose member's mothers do not know their kids are in a band

If so, do you believe it to be immoral, amoral or moral?
moral

Why?
if i don't give them my money, they won't be able to get another cd out, and i (and other people like me) will never listen to it

i also buy stuff that there is no other way to get them

If nine out of ten movies I see blow (and they do,) is it immoral to only pay for nine out of every ten movies I watch?

Crime is okay if you find a way to rationalize it and don't get caught, right? I stole some excellent music last night, and as a result, I'm going to go out and buy a Mars Volta CD tomorrow. Whenever I wonder if I'm quietly destroying the livelihood of my favorite musicians, I just remind myself that I still buy CDs too, and if the average music fan bought as many CDs as I buy, the music industry would be in great shape.

I dont see it as amoral or anything......media is made to be viewed/listened to/shared.......Isnt that the point? Sure money is nice, but when did art start to just equal money?

Besides...most of the stuff i download i think i have owned at one point in time anyway....music that is.....

I wish everyone pirated music so the major labels of the music industry would go bankrupt.
