please recomend me some spanish and WORLD music.

Especially spanish guitar , mybe i'm thinking mexican though.

and if there is any music you know of that is like the song "falling awake" by shpongle(from nothing lasts...) PLEASE recomend some music like that , its AMAZING .same with dorset perception-shpongle.

And different music from all around the world.

shakti is also a must(hindu music... tabla by zakir hussain guitar by john Mclughling)

i really like this guy called jorge cafrune... an old spanish/argentinian folk singer
great guitar and nice singing (though i never understand what he sings ABOUT...) might be a little hard to find though...
and i'm not sure it's really what you want... its pretty calm...
good music though

I'm not very good with music categories, usually I just make them up when explaining stuff to people, so these might not be "world music".

I was really into Talvin Singh for a while. He does a lot of electronicish tabla stuff. A mix of Brittish and Indian influence I think. I really have no idea what you'd call it, but it was good until my hard drive crashed. I don't know what album I'd recommend, I can't really remember any of them, I'd guess probably the one that won the Mercury award.

Nitin Sawhney had some similar stuff too. I didn't love all of it, but one out of every 3 or so songs was awesome.

Also, Badmarsh & Shri had some stuff I really loved, similar style to Talvin and Nitin. Signs is the only album I remember from them, it's damn good.

Paco de Lucia all the way man, that man is CRAZY! And I can tell, I live in Spain :grin: There are a few I could say but they are cantaores (gypsy singers) not guitar players...

fanfare cio carlia, it's old style romanian gypsy music. some if it sounds very spanish though.

they're bad ass musicians though, and it's pure, untainted traditional gypsy music. just like it was 150 yeara ago.
