you left me cold with my tear on your cheek, i had to run faster to keep up with your time. decades go by, you get older, but i stay the same- never knowing if i should look up or down. will you watch over me, catch me in your nest or will i dive into your green and shield myself from my own mistakes.

i walked down the quiet streets on a saturday morning limbo, dreary eyed and pale faced sidewalkers watch from their stands, grouped and huddled together and i hear myself from behind trying to get out of their eyes and minds. i catch the 42 down to the beach, early winds rub away at the cobblestone wall and i smile for that brief second, because i can feel it trying to rub me away too, into a fine golden dust that glistens in the sand.

Wallowing in a mess I made yesterday,
it hardens quickly encapsulating my body,
I find no help from the outside,
I find my ego letting itself slide to the side,
afraid of this oncoming undertow,
the roaring flood cracks and booms as it rushes for me,
I stand and wait for its blistering take on me,
it's coming closer....soon, now,
will be the time,
I look at my fate with unrevered awe,
I see this inevitable destiny doing what it must do,
it comes for me, it asks for me,
it yearns for me, it begs for me,
it is upon me.....
and I look up at the crest of its shimmering waves of reason,
an infinite liquid mirror showing itself to me in all of its being,
I let it take me down.

In a state of inner flux
Manifest the outer realms
Invoke upon as one

Building up mirroring walls and hiding this identity
Closing in, so that I may go inside
Sinking ever lower into a vice of my own making
Blaming others for how my stomach turns
Feeling superior over these lowly slow grubs.
Recognizing my faults,
Seeing how I have succumbed to this illusion,
but, no more.
I can't breathe, I choke on this body,
I'm suffocating, breathing in cold remnants
from clouded footprints behind me,
I crumple down, face in my holy cup of hands,
Paining at getting a breath
sucking in panic and depression.
I have to hold on,
for my own sake and others,
I must wait this out.

The weight threatens my stronghold,
Cracking the stability beneath me,
The pressures ripping at my shell.
Narcistically reaping for the light inside,
But its viewpoint is from a shady angle
blurred from dangerous misconceptions
boasted upon its cynical stand.
I watch from my humble knoll
Attempting to feel certain I am of a separate nature,
I just see the mistakes and see ahead
that I don't follow those shadows,
but to realign the path I must make it see,
Meet eyes to eyes and balance the symmetry
so that we may walk unapprehended

here is n e-mail ive just now written to a dear assosiate of mine, take of it what you might. i felt like sharing


aaa here we are. well were to begin?

im now at a crossroads of sorts, with you as my humble unwitting witness
i pass from one page to anoter.
allow me to bring you up to date,
i have just smoked the last cigarette in my pack before the wish ciggarette.
this last ciggarette was the "thinking" smoke that one takes and thinks about what ones wish wil be when one finally smokes that inevitable wish smoke.

never before to me has a wish smoke seemed so finate as it does today
one might chose to smoke forever or until the end rather than decide upon a single unmistakeable wish from a real person ...

ive yet to smoke that last cigarette. yet to make a wish... and once i do, there it is, to be granted or whtever nhapens to wishes made on cigarettes.
it sits in my pack. mocking me to be smoked.

and so i reach for it, pulled from its casket of tinfoil and red cardboard, and i look on it, the last of many who fell for reasons no one can possibly remember.. just a ciggarette.

and i am to make a wish?
one wish?
like that?

what would any of us do? would we wish for right and whatever we knew to be just?
no, to make such a wish would be selfish, because we know nothing and are but fools to make wishes and hope them come true....
but still.
if they could?
if one could light a ciggarette with a wish that had to begranted because its the last damned cigarette in the whole pack! well,
if i diddnt make awish now id really spoil alot of big talk would I?
but i want to smoke it! and i cant without making a wish.
and maybe i really cant think of what to wish for right now.
so here it sits, like a fig fat stupid stick
and i think to myself, perhaps its best not to wish and let time flow as it may.
but then i say, NO im smoking that bitch!
and so i am now smoking it, and ive made a wish this day a wish that can not be taken back.
and im stuck with it.
but i dont dare tell you the wish. no no
if i did, it might not come true :)

that wish that i made already puts me in a spot
i must be true for it to be true.

and now i find ive left a soul behind
one i care for deeply, one who was an important partof the wish, but sadly, not the direct recipient of said wish.
one whom i must hand my shame to lest i conceal it and be tormented by the deceit it represents unto the hereafter.
one whom is so beautiful, and deserving.ofsomething
something that i canot provide.
simply cannot, it is not mine to give and if it was then i would, but i cannot and there it is.
so, sadly and with deep remorse i face he music and home it can sing a requem until anther mnstrel passes to make melody again
