All Three Pans

Does anyone know what the difference between all three pan prints that Ryche sells? There is three different prices as well. Panaeolus Cambodginiensis being the most expensive.

Is that the only real difference is size? I was wondering why the Panaeolus cambodginiensis is $10.00 more than the Pan Trop and $15.00 more than the Pan Cyan.

The primary difference is spore size!
Cop.cyans > Cop. tropicalis > Cop. cambodginiensis

Cop. tropicalis has 2 spored Basidia, Cop. cyans and Cop. cambodginiensis have 4- spored basidia for the most part.

The increased cost probably is associated with it's relative exclusivity.

hehe...saw this thread and thought of something funny!...when hard-headed friends say pans are nothin and eat a quarter of em....welll....dont let em....heh....ah well....pans are fun...enjoy all or any of em....

ENTER, re-read, the list is spore size from largest to smallest, not cap size. Mushroom size has to do with nutrition, and water.
size would be
Cop. Cyans> Cop. cambo>Cop. trop, but this is only relative to substrate composition, water availability, and all the other environmental factors.
Mature spore size is the constant. With a MAXIMUM size being the determining factor. Underdeveloped spores, could be present, and the size could fall below the range listed in TEXTS. The size range varies from Text to Text, on the lower end of spore size, for the most part. Spore size is a range, and within species it varies from Strain to Strain. But it varies very LITTLE!!!
