I was unclear on how I consume weed. I use a vaporizer called the Volcano. I only smoke it like once every week or two, one session, with my friends. The rest of the time I vaporize it. Vaporizing gives a far better, clearer high also in my opinion.

I believe vaporizing cuts out the cancer risk completely. Still need to try that. Just make some brownies!!!

Your method of use over time dictates your suseptablility to its message. And your 6+ doses are to the knowledgable shroomers, like fascilitating a bad-beat in a poker game. Your cards are shitty and yet you won in a way cause yo played it right. But thats not that good for your overall score

This thread is going to Hell in a handbasket if it stays on the pot/cancer debate.

My 2 cents:

Smoking any herb is harmful because all herbal smoke is harmful

If used as often in equally non-excessive doses oral cannabis is less harmful than oral shrooms because people are better able to hold onto their ego, thus less struggle ensues, thus a lower risk for residual emotional and psychologic disturbances.

You can rip yourself apart if you resist shrooms while on weed you might feel "just" uniquely bad.

Which is the more harmless? Marijuana or Shrooms? That was the topic (although my "I eat spores, steams, pot, and babies while innoculating" thread got closed quicker than this one for being off topic) and I'll try to put in my two cents. I think that although Marijuana may allegedly cause cancer or whatever - shrooms are by far the more dangerous. Think of all the social implications of a bad trip - loss of reality and walking into the street, getting arrested, etc. Also, the "mental explosion" that somebody mentioned earlier in this thread can (in high doses) provoke underlying schitzophrenia, and other psychological problems. I mean, I fucking love shrooms - I'm just saying - the way cubensis makes you disconnect and loose focus on reality (people say "gain a new reality", but it's really just a loss of reality) it can be very dangerous. My basic underlying argument is: which is more dangerous? Well would you rather be smoking a possible carcinogen in low doses or go to the hospital\jail for wacking the fuck out (even for just 8 hours or so) on 5 grams?

I meant stems, not steams, but seriously - I think of the dangers like that, rather than hurting my body. Because I'd rather hurt my body than my life.

I feel that, both mentally and physically, weed does me more harm than shrooms. I think of shrooms as the safest drug that I use.

You are almost right.
when tripping, reality is lost and gained simultaneously as the perpective shifts.

I believe that Psilocybe mushrooms are healthier to consume than Cannabis.

The unhealthy one. That makes it even worse.
Shrooms are better for you and they're non addictive (at least not to the extent that Cannabis is).

try taking shrooms 3 days in a row and tell me how you feel about them. personally i feel that both have very little health risk, well, as long as we're only talking about eating, but shrooms will fry your brain...trust me...but in moderation, i don't see a worry with either one.

After I smoke bud I always feel unhealthy and kind-of dumb. After i do shrooms I feel like a better person (Except for a bad trip here or there) and extremely enlightened. I still smoke bud but it's usually just to get wrecked. I think shrooms are one of the best things to ever enter my life. So I don't know about all the propaganda surrounding the two, but I know how each makes me feel. happy shroomin

To answer this question we'd have to explore what sort of 'harm' we're talking about.

If 'harm' means physical damage to the body, smoked cannabis is much more harmful.

If 'harm' means abnormal psychology, then mushrooms are probably more harmful (or are more likely to cause harm than cannabis).

But, in my opinion, if you've had a few trips under your belt and have the ability to integrate and assimilate your trips without too much difficulty... if you can come to terms with the knowledge gained from them, then they're actually good for you.

Marijuana provides the same sort of learning experience, but only the first 10-20 times you get high.  Then it becomes an escape, a way to be content doing nothing.  And, yes, it IS addictive, precisely because it has so few side effects.  Thats why so many of us here are daily pot smokers. 

The great thing about mushrooms is that they're self-limiting.  A good mushroom trip is always an event... you get nervous before you eat them, and you really have to convince youreself that its a good idea before you'll go ahead and take the plundge.  Whereas marijuana is just "um, yea I guess i'll take another  :bongload:

I think its an apples to oranges comparison. One quiet frankly can be a spiritual experience or just an intoxicant. The other, you'ed have to be stupid to just treat as an intoxicant.

Some some sativa and your views of pot just making you feel dumb might change. Yes weed can make you hallucinate, I know because I am very sensitive to it's effects; not to mention I practice the utmost limiting my experences on weed to just a couple times a year. Much like most regular people do with stronger stuff IE Acid/Shrooms...etc

But Weed compared to Alcohol its no contest, weed wins...
Shrooms compared to RC's, no contest Shrooms win...

Make an fair comparison and then maybe you'll have better rational arguments.

Smoking pot daily is not good for you. Neither is doing shrooms daily. Both are psychadelics known to bring out repressed mental disorders.
There is no way to determine which is more harmful at this point...studies are extremely limited...It is, however, researched that shrooms do not do any PHYSICAL bodily harm to the human body, where as marijuana actually does effect the lungs negatively(as does any smoke).

You know yourself better than anybody, and I don't want to argue in any case--but in general if someone told me they smoked every day I'd suggest they've formed a habit. IMO a person shouldn't need to smoke grass to relax and sleep--not on a regular basis, anyway.

I think there is such a thing as "amotivational syndrome." Maybe it isn't chemical, but it could be more behavioral. There's such a thing as being too laid back.
