Hmm, I feel that the worst part about eating meat isnt really the fact you're eating an animal, its the fact that quite often your animal is pumped full of hormones and raised in the confines of a cage so its tender. And the industries that do this suck.

When you say "current culture" do you mean globally? or in a specific country?

Hmm, Lenin believed that because of the inherhent nature of capitilism in which the rich get richer/poor get poorer would eventually reach a threshhold where the system collapses upon itself. I tend to believe this, you can only seperate the gap so much until things start to destabilize. But then again, fortunatly, we have our "trustworthy" media to tell us everything is A OK, the american way...in many ways its been used(perhaps abused...IMHO)to be the great equalizer

its happening right now. I live in downtown LA... down the street from my apartment building (pleasure dome) are 10,000 people living on the street, smoking crack, shooting H, smashing windows, living in tents or just laying in the road. And look at whats happening in France. I'm not saying that a total breakdown of society is imminent... just that things happen slowly and by degrees.

I can definitely see it happening.

I think i might see some crazy shit in my lifetime, we'll probably be living VERY different lifestyles in 50 years , maybe even 10 or 20.
