I have tons of that!

ok, so no serious respondents?

is it that unnecessary?

I've heard it suggested to apply various things
to open wounds to help seal them and promote quicker
and cleaner calousing.

if not...no worries.

Depends on the speacies. I cant get a few species to heal quick. They just get infected and go to moosh. So maybe it would help in aiding fighting infection. Hell its only a couple bucks at the pet shop. If your house is dry or you have a place by a heater it wouldnt hurt placing it by the dry ear. Dont cut the plant if its rained prior to the cutting day. Dont cut if its going to ran post cutting day.

oh yes... water is a definate problem. I nearly lost a cactus that had been cut when a surprise rain hit.

It got some odd redd stuff on the tip, but I was able to clean it up and let it heal inside.

Most cacti are pretty resilient and should heal without additives if you keep them sheltered.

I've yet to use anything on my pedros, I just put them in my closet underneath some sort of loose permeable cover that I keep from touching them. Has worked like a charm so far.
