EASY way to keep out contams! fellow noobs, great tip!

So im a noob, this is my first time cultivating, and i succesfully innoc'd 12-1pt jars, colonized them, and cased them (skipped cakes) in bulk poo. I made 5 mini casings, all have been in the FC for about 5 days, and they are showing beautiful pins and no signs of contam. What i learned from this that i would like to pass on to other noobs:

1) make sure your fruiting chamber is in a location that does not allow very much air flow at all. since you will be taking off the top to fan your cakes or casings often, u should have them in a place that wont have new air molecules and bacteria hovering over the FC at diff points of the day. for this, i recommend a CLOSET.
2) LYSOL! omg lysol saves my ass man, spray it on the fan i use to fan my FC, spray it on the top of FC, spray it everywhere, in room, in closet, above clothes, below clothes, everywhere! killing bacteria can never hurt, just make sure the lids are on your chamber!
3) Patience and Reading! some noobs like to rush into shit and innoc up there jars, not being able to wait to produce some potent shroomies... so if you have already injected your jars or are thinking about it, do the shroomery this favor. USE THE TIME IT TAKES TO COLONIZE YOUR JARS to read, in absolute detail, about the next step (i.e. FC preparation, birthing jars, casing, ETC.). If you already are on top of that shit, and your stuff is in the FC, then start reading in detail about fruiting! (i.e. Frequent.Air.Exchange, fine misting, length of time for pinning)

P.S. i was so rushed to get shit inoculated (due to excitment) that i forgot to think of labling my jars. i ended up mixing jars when i cased them into 5 mini casings, so i might have some casings that fruit multiple strains, some casings might not fruit at all, who the fuck knows. Mycology is seriously easy, if you just read up. its exciting to prepare for the next step, so taht when the day comes, ur confident and ready to do it right. patience and research on here will help time melt while you wait for your shit to colonize or fruit. sorry of this is kinda preaching, but these tips helped me, and i think this would help noobies who just jump on here thinking that growing is as simple as injecting a jar... keep this bumped if u feel it helpful, others would probs like to see it if you enjoyed it!

Yeah man same here, I read for almost 3 months before I even ordered my first spores.  Knowledge is power.  It's not that it's hard, just that there is so much that can go wrong.  With a little knowledge gained by research all that shit can be avoided.

i read in a med book , although alcohol (95%) cant kill bacteria it cannot kill spores

I like to learn by screwing up...just tonight I tried my first LC and I intentionally didn't PC anything. I WANT to screw it up just so I can spot contams on my own. Probably the easiest project I will ever have in mycology...lol
